HARP JOINED THE NATIONWIDE DAY FOR SAFETY AND HEALTH AT WORK

On April, 25 2018 the specialists of Kharkov Bearing Plant (HARP) delivered a lecture on the work safety for students of Kharkov computer technological college of National Technical University “KhPI”.

The event was coincided with the World Day for Safety and Health at Work, which is celebrated on April, 28. This year the event motto is “Protected and healthy generation”. It reflects the conception of the World Day Against Child Labour, which is celebrated on June, 12.

Aleksandr Shtan’ko, Head of work and fire safety management, and Nina Fatulyaeva, Head of work safety department, represented HARP and acquainted the students with the work safety principals, the industrial safety standards and the issues of the injury prevention on the plant.    

Nina Fatulyaeva told in details the technologies of HARP bearings production, from the moment of metal supplying to the plant, workpieces production, turning, to the final assembly, packing and shipping to the client. She also told about the instructions on the plant and demands to the personnel and plant management.     

During the meeting, the theme films about safety technique and the presentation video about the bearing plant were shown.    

Aleksandr Shtan’ko demonstrated to the students the types of work clothes and shoes, facilities for the individual protection, including helmets, gas masks, special glasses, rubber boots, gloves, and overalls for erection works.    

The students were interested, involved in the conversation, and put the questions to HARP representatives. The colleague students were familiar with the plant, and previously they had an introductory excursion to the plant. 

The event was aimed to the popularization of work safety among young employees and the increasing of young generation awareness of safety and health at work issues.
